Her passion for everything Japanese started during high school when every Wednesday Aurelia would go to a local manga shop with her friends and spend all the money she had. Unsurprisingly, this interest continued well after graduation – for her Bachelor's degree she chose to study Art History and Japanese language, literature and civilisation at the University of Geneva. Aurelia then continued with a Master's Degree in Museum Studies at the University of Neuchâtel. Thanks to an exchange program during her last year she was able to study at the Ecole du Louvre in Paris specializing in Art Collections History. This was also a great occasion for her to try every Japanese restaurant around the Petit Palais area, where she found okonomiyaki almost as good as the ones eaten in Japan. Aurelia loves Meiji era Japanese photography and two of her all-time favourite writers are Haruki Murakami and Banana Yoshimoto.
